CRMAs who do not work for New Communities (NCI) may choose to attend only the exam day. \nTwo Day Option: Exam plus study group $150 (NCI employees must take the Two Day Option) \nOne Day Option: Exam only $95 \nDay 1 April 22\, 2025 – remote\, instructor-led study group\, 8:30am-12:30pm \nDay 2 April 23\, 2025 – in-person exam\, 8:30am-1:00pm \nAfter registration and payment confirmation\, you will receive an email with information about accessing the class\, including a Zoom link for the remote study day. \n  \nMaterials needed for class: \n\nCRMAs must bring their current CRMA certificates to the live day for verification. DESCRIPTION:This remote\, RN instructor-led course includes information required to be taught annually by an RN to direct care workers\, according to Maine regulations governing the licensing and functioning of assisted housing programs\, including: \n\nDietary requirements\nAnti-Diabetic Oral medications – inclusive of adverse reactions and interventions\, hyper and hypo glycemic reactions\nInsulin storage\nInsulin injection techniques and site rotation (video demonstration)\nTreatment and prevention of insulin reaction including signs/symptoms\nFoot care\nLab testing\, urine testing and blood glucose monitoring\, and\nStandard Precautions\n\nThis course includes diabetes information for direct care professionals and must be combined with a CRMA certificate if the individual will be administering insulin. Students will receive a one-year Diabetes Certificate at the completion of the course.
